32 weeks... on the countdown!

Hey everyone, what an exciting day! We had two doctor's visits today. Both went amazing. They did a final growth scan today and all three babies are weighing right at 4lbs. I am 32 weeks and 2 days, 25 days until 36 weeks, so they are estimating that at 36 weeks they will weigh close to 6lbs give or take. We are so excited that the pregnancy is going so well. What a blessing! So, November 8th is the scheduled C-Section. Tomorrow I switch the Heparin injections. This is to manage the blood clotting disorder that I have during pregnancy. They switch you over at 32 weeks, because the Heparin is fast acting blood thinner; therefore it works through your system quicker. Other than the good news from the doctor, not much more is happening in the Bourland world. I hope all is well for everyone.

What is an amazing shower!!!

September 14th

Yesterday, my first grade team members gave me a diaper/giftcard shower. I was blown away by how many diapers we recieved as well as the amount of gift cards!!! WOW... amazing generosity! I was 28 weeks yesterday... feeling good! Past the point of uncomfortable, but I know the longer the babies make it, the healthier they will be. The babies are wiggling all the time! It is a feeling so undescribable. I have maternity pics this Saturday... fun times, I hope there is alot of photo shop being done! Giggle Snaps, is also doing a Diaper Drive this Saturday!I go to both doctor's next Wednesday, so hopefully I continue to hear great news! At my 32 week visit, they will do a final growth scan to get an estimate of the babies weight along with measuring the amount of fluids... and checking so much more. I have 3 more weeks on Lovenox shots, and then onto Heparin for a few weeks, until the scheduled C-Section date. I will so glad to be done with giving myself shots. My fertility shots to these for the past few years, I am so over injections! BTW... scheduled C- Section date is set for November 8th (Aunt Bea's Birthday)! The day is approaching very quickly... everything is set and ready except for the hostipal bag, kind of important I guess! This weekend we are celebrating Pop's 75th Birthday... rock on Pop! I can not wait to see everyone, especially my precious Cole. Bryleigh has been asking about Sunday all week. I hope all is well for everyone, continued praying for healthy babies!

Update from Week 26... last weeks appointment

Hey Everyone,

All is good with the Bourland clan... all six of us! Pacer is very busy with football, Bryleigh is back with Mrs. Kristi while I am working. I had both doctor's visit this past week, and everything is still going very well. They did a full growth scan to see how the babies were growing. All three weighed 1pd. 12 oz.... Wow, almost 6 pounds of just baby at 26 weeks. The doctor does not see any reason of why I will not carry to 36 weeks, unless something some major changes take place. He estimates that if I carry to 36 weeks, the babies could weigh close to 6 pds. each! Next appointment with OB is on Wednesday the 8th, and then they will do the final growth scan at 30 weeks on the 22nd of September. We truly appreciate is continued prayers... GOD IS GREAT!

Updates from the past month..

August 10th

I will just start off by saying... I know I stink at this blogging stuff! Since my last post, I have to say the family shower was wonderful! It is great to have such a wonderful family. Babies room is very close to be finised! We had a small crisis with the fabric, thinking that it may had been discontinued, but after driving all over the world (thank you, honey!) we found some the jungle fabric. Yeah!

During the past month, I have seen both doctors twice, and not much has changed other than the size of my belly!!! High Risk, says everything is still looking great. This past appointment, he did the FFN swab (checks for pre-term labor, and that came back negative, so that is a bonus! Two weeks ago, I did my first glucose tests, which checks for gestational diabetes and that came back clear as well. I am measuring 7 weeks ahead, so 31 weeks. WOWZERS!! In two weeks, I go back to see both doctors on the 25th. They will do a full growth scan to see how all three babies are growing. They did this at 14 weeks, and all three were measuring the same. That is what we are hoping to see at the next appointment. With Dr. Gardner, I do a repeat Glucose test, just because I am carrying multiples.

I began back to school this Monday... a little nervous on how I will hold up, but I must keeping looking ahead and taking each day with a blessing. Dr. Thigpen tells me I am super woman... he says he has never seen a mother carrying multiples do as well as I have up to this point. What a blessing! We continue to pray that I am able to carry these babies as long as possible. I have days that I am pretty uncomcomfortable, but that is just how it is! Anyone that complains about morning sickness during the first 12 weeks like most pregnancies are, I just want to give a big laugh! Thanks for continuing to follow... and I hope to do better about updates!

Week 20... doctors visit

July 16th

I had a visit to both doctors today. Both said everything is going very well. I am measuring 25 weeks, and the two girls have heartbeats at 148 bpm, and Peyton's HB is 138 bpm. Dr. Thigpen measured the cervix once again to check for incompetent cervix, and then took a look at all three babies. It is getting pretty cramped in there... I believe I am starting to experience what people call " Braxton Hicks contraction." He said that is completely normal. I go back to the both doctors in two weeks, glucose test, and cervix check. Everything seems to be progressing right along. I am so excited for my upcoming showers... I can not wait to finish the nursery within the next few weeks, YEAH! More to come next weeks.

Deciding on names... OMG this is hard!

July 8th

Hey Friends, Okay so here it is... I think Pacer and I have finally come to an agreement on the names. One name is hard enough, but 3.. crazy! So here it is... drum roll please...

Addalynn Diane
Cambrie Elle
Peyton Allen

The middle names are family names. Diane is Pacer's mom middle name. Elle is my mom's middle names, well kind of. Her middle name is Machelle, but we both like the abbreviated version, and then of course Allen is Pacer and his father's middle name.

So there it is... Whew! No more thinking... no more suggestions! It is very cute to hear Bryleigh say the names!

No doctor's appointment this week, next Thursday I will see both doctors.

I am some what concerned about the pressure that I am beginning to notice these last few days, but I am sure it is because I am carrying TRIPLETS!

My aunt is making the crib bedding... I am so excited to see the final product. Pacer is in the process of painting the cribs, and this past week, Pacer and his dad did some furniture rearrangment to make room for the upstairs nursery. Exciting and busy time!

More to come next week!

Another Weekly Doctor's Visit... Great News!

July 2nd,

A visit to the Specialist, and Dr. Thigpen says he could not be happier in the progress of the pregnancy. These past few weeks he has been monitoring and checking for an incompetent cervix. I go back in two weeks to checks again at 20 weeks, and if everything looks good, he will see me at 22 weeks to then start monitoring pre term labor issues until around 32 weeks, crazy, it seems so short of time, but so long! All three babies are doing great, strong heartbeats, and wiggling everywhere. You would think that the sonogram pictures would be so neat, but with three, it is so hard to see much of anything. They again checked gender and 2 girls and 1 boy, so I think we can say it is official!

We registered today... how fun! It seemed like we were registering for the entire store, but I guess with three and both genders, you practically are! Check out Babies R Us!

Pacer and I are in the beginning stages of rearranging the house. As many of you know, Pacer's upstairs sports room, is transforming into a wonderful jungle themed nursery. We have changed Bryleigh into a "big girl bed"... Yeah, but kind of sad! We, I mean Pacer with some supervision, is soon going to begin painting two of the cribs (the girls crib). Good times ahead!

All is well! Thanks for the continued prayers!

Great News from the high risk doctor!

June 14th-

It has been six weeks since I visited the high risk doctor.. and a lot of progress in the development of the babies have taken place. They again check gender and they are definite that there is two girls and a boy, a definite boy! During the sonogram they checked for all extremities and everything looks great. All three babies are measuring 4 days ahead of schedule and each weighing 4 oz. As for now he said that early bedrest is not in the future. He feels that at this point, I will be able to carry possibly up to 36 weeks. From now until 22 weeks, (first of August), he will see me on a weekly basis, and I wil continue to see my OB/GYN monthly. At 22 weeks, if everything looks promising, that meaning no signs of pre-term labor, gestational diabetes, or high blood pressure, I will then see Dr. Gardner, on a two week basis until 32 weeks. Alot can change during this time, so we continue to pray that I am able to carry the babies as long as possible. Thanks for the continued support, and I will update if their are any changes. NYC here we come!

Finding out the genders... well at least daddy!

June 1st,

Sonogram Day! We get to find out the genders... oh wait, I have agreed not to find out, until the TV debut on the 8th. Sonograms are always exciting if you are expecting one, but they are very entertaining if you are expecting three. So while we were getting the Sonogram to see the genders, they had me turn my head, but sneaky daddy stayed in the back of the room, so for a whole week he knew and I did not... I hate surprises! Actually, they are really fun, but the anticipation is miserable. All in all, it was very reassuring that all three babies were measuring 13 weeks 4 days, and strong heartbeats. One week... waiting patiently to find out the gender on live TV. Post again soon on the 8th.

Week 12.. Super good news!

Tuesday May 25th

Yesterday I went to see my OB. All is great! Three strong heartbeats, and I go back next week for a sonogram to check for gender. I am measuring 19 weeks, wow! We are so relieved to hear strong healthy heartbeats.

A few weeks ago Dr. Gardner had asked me to be part of a televsion segment, and of course I said sure! She then said more info to come... so I found out more yesterday! Tha Dallas-Fort Worth news stations has teamed up with Dr. Gardner and Sublime Bakery to they are going to report on Dr. Gardner successes as well as Sublime Bakery is beginning to create cakes to tell the gender. So this means that there will be a staged shower at my house, and I will cut into a three tiered cake. As I cake into the cake, the inside will tell me the gender of each baby. Super Cool, Huh! We are so excitd, to find out what we are having in this manner.

So when will all this take place... Plan on June 8th for the taping, and I am not sure about when it will be aired live. More info to come!

Week 11...

May 18, 2010

On Monday I was called by my High Risk doctor to tell me that I have a blood clotting disorder. At the last appointment, they did a series of blood drawns to check for any blood clotting issues. The scare behind having a blood clotting disorder is miscarriage, placental abruption, pre-term labor, and the obvious efffect a that it could do to my body. I was told that I have a Protein S Defiencency that only shows during pregnancy... this explains the multiple miscarriages that I had prior to Bryleigh. Anyways, I was a little worried that the babies had already be effected by this, but if there is any clotting it does not begin to take place until the placenta begins feeding the babies. So, no worries this takes place during the 12th week. They put me on a blood thinner injectable, 40mg of Lovenox. Another shot.. I am use to that! I am measuring around 18 weeks, and definitely showing. Just this week, my belly has popped! That means growing babies... Anyways, I go next week to see the babies, and hear their heartbeats. I am so excited... Pacer has not been able to go to the last few appointments, and he gets to go to this one!

9 week update.. visit to the Specialist doctor

Tuesday, May 4th

I had two doctor's visits today! I went to see Dr. Gardner at 8:00am and Dr. Thigpen, the High risk doctor at 10:45am. Wow... when I left my brain was floating. Dr. Gardner's visit was just the typical OB visit, bloodwork, and just pretty much everything looks great so far. As far as Dr. Thigpen's visit... not so much! I describe his job as the one who is Bad News Bears... no, no bad news, just the possiblities of carrying triplets and what could happen. Anyways, we will take it day to day and hope for the absolute best! He did the Sonogram and all the babies are measuring great, and Baby B is a wiggle worm. After the Sono was performed, he gave me the low down and what the next months will be like. I go back in 6 weeks to see him, and then he will begin doing the Pre-Term labor test. We hope that these come back negative, but this is so that if the babies are born early, they will have the lung development that is needed. They also performed some labwork on Tuesday to check for any blood clotting disorders... this is to ensure that the babies are getting the oxygen that is needed. After this appointment, I will begin seeing him every two weeks, and Dr. Gardner, monthly, as normal. Starting at 24 weeks, they will begin checking for gestational diabetes. Wow, he shared so much more info, so much that I can not even absorb everything. I see a dietitian within the next few weeks, because I am supposed to be taking in 3,000 calories daily, and no not 20 twinkies! That should be interesting, considering I have always ate pretty much whatever I wanted.

My due date at 40 weeks is Dec.6th, however, he hopes that I am able to make it to the 36 week mark, which is when the c-section would be scheduled. We pray that I am able to carry these babies until 36 weeks. That definitely increases the chances for healthy babies at the time of delivery.

I go back to see Dr. Gardner on June 9th and then I see Dr. Thigpen on June 14th, The day before we leave for NYC!!

Bryleigh is super excited! Pacer bought me a new car... a true mommy mobile! I was talking to Bry about the babies, and she made a comment about how big momma's car was..I told her that it was for her to ride in and her baby brothers and sisters. Her comment, " Do we get to pick them up today!" Very cute.... she has began pushing three babies in her stroller. She always has one sleeping, one eating, and one playing. Love her!!

I will keep everyone updated with details throughout the next month. I am so use to seeing a doctor on a weekly basis, a month is going to feel like an eternity.

Number 2 Sonogram

Today I went to see Dr. Gardner, my OB... My mom was able to come, so that was super cool! We went in for the Sonogram, and I asked the Tech if she was aware, that there was three. I truly believe she did not believe me until she saw it with her own eyes. She was in shock! All three babies have strong heartbeats and all measuring at 8wks. Praise the Lord... we pray for a continued growth and strong heartbeats. I spoke with Dr. Gardner and she is referring me to a specialist, Dr. Thingpen. I assume that I will see him in a couple of weeks. She offfered some very valuable information as well as great reassurance for a healthy pregnancy. From my understanding, the greatest concern, is pre-term labor. She said there was a chance to be on bed rest as early as 20 weeks. When I asked about returning to work at the beginning of next year, she did not sound to promising. As for the New York Trip, still on! I will be 15 weeks, and she said measuring around 22weeks. I can't wait to find out more when I go to see Dr. Thingpen. Thanks for the support and continued prayers!

Sharing the news with all

April 22,2010

Reality has set in... it seems like the world knows. I told the faculty today at our staff meeting, shocker! The world of Facebook friends have heard the news! We appreciate all the support and thoughtful comments. I visit my OB next Tuesday for another Sonogram, and then I believe she will then refer me to a Specialist Doctor.

So once you become a mother, I do not think you ever sleep throughout the night. When I awaken either by my bladder, my dog Paisley, or Bryleigh saying, "Mommy, I am here" I am unable to go back to sleep because so many thoughts are racing through my mind.

As far as symptoms, honestly it's not as bad as I would think.

Sonogram Day

April 21, 2010

Sonogram Day... praying for a strong heartbeat! A little nervous about the first sono. I did not want to be dissappointed. 10:45am, appointment time rolled around, and Pacer and I waited anxiously in the waiting room. I was called back, and same nurse that had made the comment last week, said again to Pacer and I, " Well, are you ready to see your babies." It hit me, she was not joking. The sono began, Dr. Kaufmann said, well Paige... there is three! You are pregnant with triplets. OMG! Overwhelmed, could not believe it... a million thougths began to go through my head. What have we done, I could handle two, but three. Pacer had to get back to work, so we only talked for about 20 minutes on the ride home. He was so encouraging. We called our parents, siblings, and closest friends to tell them the overwhelming news. Pacer went back to work, and of course, if you know me, I began to research. At one point I got very nervous about the idea of finances, but quickly reminded myself that the focus right now, is for the babies to be healthy. Throughout the night, we recieved a million phone calls and emails in regards to the news! At one point, Pacer said everyone was asking him," Are you serious... "he said, "its funny that everyone is asking the same question I asked the doctor!"

Bloodwork, Pregnant and sharing the news!

The bloodwork began on March 30th... that's the date that it was confirmed that I was definitely pregnant! HCG level- 338. Great Numbers super excited... 3 weeks 6 days pregnant. I wanted to share the news so bad, by the end of the week I had told my team members at school and we told our parents on Easter. We gave them two eggs, one pink and one blue and included this poem:
I do not have a face to see,
or put inside a frame.
I do not have soft cheeks to kiss,
I do not yet have a name
You can't yet hold my tiny hands,
Nor whisper in my ear.
It is still to soon to sing a song,
or cuddle me so dear.
But all will change come December,
that's when they say I am due.
I'm your new grandson or granddaughter,
I can not wait to meet you!

The following week on the 5th of April... I went to the doctor for a repeat HCG Bloodwork, the following day I recieved the news that my number look great at 3,389. WOOHOO, super excited still a little nervous about the thought of the dreadful word, that I have experienced one to many time, miscarriage. The week past, symptoms continued... April 14th... the last time for bloodwork if the number s looked good. When I got to the Dr. Kaufmann's office, the nurse called me back, ask how I was feeling. As she drew my blood, she made a commet, " Next week you will get to back and see your babies." I said, babies... you mean baby." She said no... babies!. I really did not think much of it, told Pacer and I few others, and everyone just kind of laughed about it. Bloodwork- done! Anticipating our first sonogram and to hear the heartbeat.

Still praying for a sticky bean!
